20 Signs of Attraction in the First Conversation

You meet guys all the time.

But occasionally, you may meet someone who seems more than just friendly.

Now all girls know that guys fall for a girl a lot faster than girls fall for a guy.

There’s a good chance that quite a few guys have been infatuated by you in the very first conversation.

And more often than not, there’s an even bigger chance that you didn’t really realize that a guy was chatting you up.

Do you want to know the signs of attraction that all guys give away, subtly or directly, each time they like a girl and are talking to her?

Use these signs of attraction to figure out if a guy’s got more than just friends on his mind.

A signs or two is excusable, but the more the signs that crop up, the bigger the chance that he’s smitten by you.

#1 He gets personal. Does he ask you personal questions in the very first conversation? If he does, there’s a big chance that he’s attracted to you and wants to make sure you’re available before he wears his heart on his sleeve. If he asks you about your boyfriend or anything overly personal on the relationship front on a first conversation, he’s definitely into you.

#2 He’s eager to please. Sometimes, a guy who likes you in the very first conversation may try too hard to please you. If he’s overly concerned about you and constantly asks you if you’re feeling fine or whether there’s something he can get for you or do for you, it’s a sure sign of a guy who’s smitten by you.

#3 He tries to touch you. A lot.  Every now and then, does he look for excuses to touch you? Does he hold on to a hug for longer than necessary or do his fingers linger on you more than required?

#4 He compliments you. Let’s face it, compliments are rather personal, especially if they’re personal in nature. Does this guy you’re speaking with for the first time compliment your dress or your smile? This guy wants to make it very clear that he’s falling for you.

#5 He can’t stop smiling. If you’re in the middle of a conversation with a guy and you catch him smiling and blushing a lot for no apparent reason, it’s probably because he’s wetting his pants in excitement just to talk to you.

#7 He’s mesmerized by you. When a guy’s infatuated by you, he can’t help but involuntarily stare deep into your eyes. If he gazes deeply or his eyes brighten up, he’s obviously really happy to talk to you.

#8 He wants your attention. Does he talk more when there are other guys around you, or does he indulge in antics just to get your attention? If a guy likes you and finds that you’re getting distracted by some other guy, he’ll try anything to win your attention back.

#9 He’s overprotective about you. Does he show off his protective streak when he’s with you? If he tries to look out for any danger in its own little ways, he’s trying to subconsciously let you know that he wants to be your protector!

#10 You share a lot of similarities. Does he agree with everything you say? Or does he excitedly nod his head each time you say you like something? A guy who likes you will intuitively try to find common grounds to prove that both of you are compatible.

#11 He asks when he can see you again. You may have just been introduced to this guy through a friend and it may be your first conversation. But if he ever does say “So… when am I gonna see you again…?” there’s a pretty big chance that he’s already knee deep in infatuation or love.

#12 He’s very friendly. Guys who get overfriendly on the very first conversation can seem creepy at times. But if a guy likes you, he’ll try his best to pretend like both of you are the best of friends just to get you to feel comfortable hanging out with him.

#13 He finds ways to bump into you again. Does he ask you what you’re up to over the weekend or the next day? If a guy asks you these kinds of questions in the first conversation, there’s a good chance he wants to bump in to you soon.

#14 He hints at your relationship status. Now all guys may not talk about your boyfriend or your relationship status directly. It’s obviously rude and personal, and they know that. But does he beat around the bush to coax answers out of you? Does he ask you about your recent vacations or the last few movies you’ve watched and with whom? These are subtle and discreet ways to bring any boyfriends out of the closet.

#15 He drags the conversation or makes subtle plans. One of the biggest signs of attraction is a guy’s urge to stretch the conversation. Does he ask you to join him in the cafeteria or a coffee shop for a while since “both of you have a bit of time to spare”? If he looks for ways to stretch your first conversation, he’s definitely got something lovey in his mind.

#16 He looks for ways to stay in touch. Does he ask you for your phone number within a few minutes of talking to each other? He’s obviously pushing his luck. If he looks for ways to stay in touch via phone numbers or facebook, he’s definitely interested in knowing more about you.

#17 He stays in touch. He gets in touch with you within a day or two, or drops a line on Facebook or a text just to say ‘hi’. While this is just a friendly gesture, it can border on a crush if he constantly tries to get in touch or leaves a message more than a few times a day.

#18 Aggressive competition. He gets aggressive or angry if another guy tries to make him look bad or pulls his leg in front of you.

#19 He impresses you with his details. He slips in details about himself and his achievements every now and then, until he thinks he’s impressed you. He may be discreet or even blatant, just as long as he can convince you that he’s a great guy.

#20 He makes it obvious that he’s single. If a guy makes it clear to you that he’s single in the very first conversation you have with him, it’s one of the biggest signs of attraction for a guy. Why would a guy tell you he doesn’t have a girlfriend unless he wants you to fill that slot?
